Go Vikes!

Amanda just emailed me this picture with the following caption.

"Lucy said she wanted to wear this for u and the boys today. :)"

Some great jean cut-offs and a Vikings shirt.  She know what her daddy likes.  I love this girl!

What a difference a day makes.  This is what Lucy looked like yesterday.  I got home and I said to Amanda, "Who is this little fashion model?"

Busy Nathan

Nathan is in what you might call a "busy" time.  He is constantly moving, constantly getting into things and generally acting out whatever thoughts are going through his mind.  This is fairly typical of all of our almost-two-year-olds, but he is taking it to a whole nother level.  (See the photos below.)  The only time that he will sit still at all is either when you're reading to him or when you are singing.  The other night we went to a concert for The Master's College chorale (amazing by the way.)  Nathan loved it.  He sat in my arms and just listened while the students sang.  He loves music.  He is constantly singing, usually a tune I don't know, with words that I can't understand.

We sure love him.  He keeps our days filled with constant fun and joy.

More From Ben's Baptism

Here are a few more pics and the promised videos from last night's baptism service.

Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow

Last night was a big night for our family.  Ben got baptised.  We were so thankful for so many things last night.  I was thankful for the blessing of a son.  I was thankful that God has called him out of darkness into his marvelous light.  I was thankful that God gave Ben the courage to get up in front of everyone there and profess his faith in Christ.  I was thankful for a church that takes this all so seriously.  I was thankful that Dave and Joni and Shirley could be there.  I was thankful for the Godly heritage that they and my parents passed down to us.  I was thankful for the people that gathered around Ben at the end to pray for him.  I was thankful for manly friends who prayed for him because they know him and care for him.  I was thankful for the two young friends who had the courage to pray for Benjamin.  I was thankful for how God was obviously working in the hearts of Ben's siblings as they watched him take this step.  I was so thankful for Jesus who for the joy set before him endured the cross for me, for Benjamin and for so many of the people that I love.

Thanks to Kirsten for the pictures above.  Caleb shot some video of Ben's testimony and the actual baptism that I'll try to get up today.

Sleepy Girl

Lucy has been so sleepy as of late.  Today she laid down for a nap with Amanda.  The girl can sure bang out some sleep.  She's a bit like her daddy.  When she's sleepy, it ain't pretty.
