Quotes: This is not funny.

When Lucy was a baby we always said, "She is going to have a lot to say when she learns how to talk."  We were right.  It is great to learn what is going on in her sweet little head.

We were talking about a pretty serious topic today at lunch and Lucy said the following in all seriousness and completely unrelated:

"And if you get lost the police will come."

The kids all started laughing (and I tried to hide my laughter.)  She replied,

"You guys,  this is not funny."

We found a bunch of pictures and videos on my mom's computer of the boys from the past few summers. This is what happens when we leave them alone at Gigi's. I'll try to post a few more in the coming days.

 

 

A great long weekend

I traveled to Florida with the boys this weekend and enjoyed some great time with my mom and Joe's family.   The boys got to stay a little longer to spend time with just Gigi.  Here are some highlights.

Amanda was home with the girls.  They weren't alone though.  Some of the Nagel cousins joined them for a sleepover.  It sounds like they had a great time.

Nathan is as sweet as can be these days.  He isn't that into sleeping though.  He gets up a couple of times a night still and then is up for the day by 6:00.  With as nice of a baby as he has been though, we certainly can't complain.  We love you, Nate Dogg.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter to all.  We had a wonderful day celebrating our risen Lord.  Per Amanda's great idea, we started off with a "sunrise service" in our sun room.  Being that we live in Minnesota and it was probably 40 degrees out there, it necessitated some bundling up.

Then we had a great breakfast and headed to the late service at church.  I always love Easter and this was another great one, reminding me of how thankful I am that Christ endured the cross to pay for my sin and rose again.
