Death of Starbucks

This coming Friday, October 24, 2008, my local Starbucks will close its doors forever. From then on, my coffee will have to be purchased at the Starbucks in the grocery store on my way to work. It just won't be the same. Are you feeling the effects of the closing of 600 Starbucks in the U.S.? Alex and Allison, what's the word from corporate?

First of all, we appriciate you as a customer and value your loyal support of your local Starbucks. We (speaking for Corperate and Howard Shults) are truly sorry for your loss. Go to www.starbucks.com where you will find that you can order your whole bean coffee and reload your registered starbucks card and if you have an idea you can share that there too. I hope that you continue to be a loyal customer and next time you visit have one on us - discount code
#115.
yours truly,

The Starbucks closest to work is scheduled to close by year's end. Oh dear! There are going to be some long (drowsy) conference calls ahead.

another reason you need to work for Target... they "proudly brew starbucks coffee" on several floors in my building, but its not as good as going to the real starbucks... but there is one of those in the building too, and im sure it isnt closing.
